Websites built to be found, not just built

Most sites are designed first and optimized later, which is why the optimization never quite fits. I work the other way around: the keyword architecture, the schema, and the content structure are decided before a single pixel is placed.

The three channels

Search isn't one thing anymore

Someone looking for what you sell might type it into Google, ask it out loud, or ask ChatGPT. Those are three different games with three different rulebooks. I play all three.

SEO — Search Engine Optimization

The foundation. Technical SEO and Core Web Vitals so the site is fast and crawlable. Keyword-mapped content so it's about the right things. Schema markup so Google understands what it's looking at. Internal linking so authority flows where it should. Local SEO so you show up when someone in your borough is searching.

AEO — Answer Engine Optimization

Google increasingly answers the question at the top of the page, and most people never scroll past it. AEO structures your content so you are that answer: question-and-answer formatting, FAQ schema, People Also Ask targeting, and conversational phrasing that voice assistants can read aloud.

GEO — Generative Engine Optimization

ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews answer people directly and often send no click at all. GEO makes your business the source those tools cite: E-E-A-T authority signals, machine-readable structured data, and content formatted the way language models actually parse it.

Custom design & development

From a single focused landing page to a full multi-page site. Responsive and mobile-first, hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no page builders, no template bloat. Clean code isn't an aesthetic preference; it's faster, more crawlable, and easier for Google to understand.

Working together

How a project runs

1 — Free consultation

You tell me the business, the customer, and what "working" would look like. I tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit. No pitch deck.

2 — Proposal & architecture

A written scope with a fixed shape: pages, keywords, schema plan, timeline, price. You approve it before anything gets built.

3 — Build & launch

I design, write, and code it. You see progress as it happens, not at the end. Then it goes live and I make sure Google finds it.

Questions

Before you ask

Can you redesign a website without losing its Google rankings?

Yes — that's the whole point of planning it properly. Rankings are lost in a redesign when URLs change and nothing tells Google where they went. Every URL on the old site gets mapped to its new home and 301-redirected, the internal linking is rebuilt to match, and the sitemap is resubmitted so the crawl happens on your schedule rather than by accident. Weitz & Luxenberg was a national law firm redesign run exactly this way.

What is schema markup, and does my website actually need it?

Schema markup is structured data in your page's code that states plainly what the page is: a person, a business, a service, a FAQ, a case study. Humans don't see it. Search engines and AI engines read it to understand you rather than guess. Without it, an answer engine has to infer what your business is from prose — and it often gets it wrong or skips you. With it, you're a defined entity it can cite. Every page I build ships with it.

How do I know if my site is invisible to AI search engines?

Ask one. Type a question your ideal customer would ask into ChatGPT or Perplexity and see who gets cited. If your competitors are named and you aren't, you're invisible — regardless of where you rank on Google. The two are separate systems. Ranking #1 on Google does not mean an AI engine can read, trust, or quote you.

What happens in the free consultation?

We talk about what you're trying to win — the customers, the questions they're asking, and where you currently sit when they ask them. I'll tell you honestly whether a new site is the right spend or whether you'd get further fixing what you already have. No obligation, and I'd rather say so than sell you a rebuild you don't need.

What's the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO in practice?

SEO gets you ranked on a results page. AEO gets your answer lifted into the box at the top — the featured snippet, the voice answer — so the searcher never scrolls. GEO gets you cited inside a generated answer from ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews, where there is no results page at all. They need different content structures, and a site built only for the first one loses the other two by default.

Rank on Google. Get cited by AI. Win in NYC.
